Manvi Wines, the organic farm
The sunbathed Tuscan vineyard is located in the highly sought-after region of Montepulciano. Here we grow Prugnolo Gentile, a strain of Sangiovese and small quantities of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The vineyard is 1.84 HA of which 1.3 HA is currently used for producing wine. The remaining 0.54 HA will begin producing in 2019. We currently produce around 7500 bottles of wine – 5’500 Vino Nobile, 1’500 Vino Rosso and 500 Vin Santo.
All Manvi wines are produced according to the methods of organic farming. The grapes are grown without chemical fertilizers and herbicides, which is reflected in the high quality of our wines. Our goal is to cultivate grapes with a high regard to the environment and in a sustainable way. Given the size of our vineyard we are also able to handpick the grapes during harvest and minimize the use of machines. We strongly believe in the traditional methods of agriculture and in maintaining the bond between man and nature.
